Dear Crew,

PLYMOUTH RACE INSTRUCTIONS 26 27 JUNE 2010

LITTLEHAMPTON RACE INSTRUCTIONS 10 11 JULY 2010

The Racing Season is now underway, cannot say it has been a smooth start, with all the changes, however,  the events are shaping us nicely for this year, and I cannot stress enough how much entries are needed now to ensure that Powerboat Racing survives for both now and the future.

I enclose Race Instructions for Plymouth, an event which is led by OCRDA, these Race Instructions are with the RYA for approval at this time, and we are working hard with both the RYA and OCRDA to get these approved as soon as possible.  However, we thought it necessary for you to have these now so you are able to make any arrangements regarding travel etc.

The second set of Instructions are for Littlehampton which is an ORDA Championship Event.  We welcome all boats of all sizes and classes to attend, and I cannot stress enough that your boat counts, when it comes to arranging an event.  For Littlehampton Dave Simpkins has sponsored the Harbour Dues for each race boat attending the event, however, when launching your boat at the Marina a fee of £20.00 for the weekend will need to be made to the Marina Office, this is a much reduced cost for the weekend to enable slipway launching to take place.  A crane may be available, but we are unable to confirm at this time.  We have kept the entry for this event at £100, but we look for your support in attending the evening function at the Marina of a two course meal at £10 per ticket available for purchase at Race Control.

I also enclose Entry Forms for both events, and I would be grateful if you could please send me your completed forms and entry money as soon as possible.

We look forward to seeing you at the events, and look forward to hearing form you very soon.

Happy Racing!!!

Shirley Simpkins

Club Secretary

A quick reminder for those of you who require race licenses for 2010 that the RYA powerboat office no longer processes licenses applications.
The certification department are now responsible for licenses and do not work to the same schedule as the powerboat office, therefore a 24 hour turnaround is no longer possible. Competitors and club secretaries should remember that extra time is required.
